Arsene Wenger mi ha dato compresse e iniezioni di Arsenal - Paul Merson
L'ex stella dell'Arsenal Paul Merson ha rivelato che č stato dato iniezioni di mistero e compresse sotto la supervisione del capo Gunners Arsene Wenger.
Il 43-year-old ha spiegato che la notte prima di partite importanti, la squadra sarebbe stata portata in un hotel ed i giocatori avrebbero capita spesso di ricevere una iniezione.
Pur non avendo idea di che cosa stava succedendo nel suo braccio, Merson insistito sul fatto che lui affidato al suo manager e lo staff medico del club in modo implicito.
'Non mi sono mai posta alcuna domanda. Dal momento in cui ti fidi un manager, di prendere tutto quello che vi chiede di ', ha detto al magazine francese So Foot.
Un portavoce dell'Arsenal ha insistito sul fatto che l'iniezione non era altro che un multi-vitaminico.
Un prodotto che l'ex centrocampista del Middlesbrough e Aston Villa era stato assegnato e che avrebbe potuto identificare, č stato caffeina.
'Poco prima del calcio d'inizio per una partita contro il Blackburn, Arsene ci ha dato una tavoletta scura', ha spiegato.
"E 'stato puro caffeina, l'equivalente di dieci tazze di Starbucks. Il mio cuore ha iniziato a correre, 30 minuti dopo che era ancora il caso. '
Merson ha continuato ad avere problemi ben pubblicizzata con l'alcol, gioco d'azzardo e dipendenza da cocaina, che porta a lui scoppia in una conferenza stampa come ha affrontato i suoi demoni nel novembre 1994.
Erano tutti vizi che dice sono stati utilizzati per cercare di ricreare l'emozione di giornata.

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has revealed he was given mystery injections and tablets under the supervision of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
The 43-year-old explained that the night before big games, the team would be taken to a hotel and the players would often receive an injection.
Despite not having a clue what was going into his arm, Merson insisted that he trusted his manager and the club's medical staff implicitly.
'I never asked myself any questions. From the moment where you trust a manager, you take everything he asks you to,' he told French magazine So Foot.
An Arsenal spokesperson has insisted that the injection was nothing more than a multi-vitamin.
One product that the former Middlesbrough and Aston Villa midfielder was given, which he could identify, was caffeine.
'Just before kick-off for a game against Blackburn, Arsene gave us a dark tablet,' he explained.
'It was pure caffeine, the equivalent of ten cups of Starbucks. My heart started racing, 30 minutes later that was still the case.'
Merson went on to have well-publicised problems with alcohol, gambling and cocaine addiction, leading to him breaking down in a press conference as he confronted his demons in November 1994.
They were all vices that he says were used to try and recreate the excitement of matchday.
'From Monday to Friday a footballer's life is very boring. I wasn't able to stand it,' he explained.
